The Raindrop Tee Blog Hop + Giveaway!

As a pattern tester, I was provided this pattern free of charge, but all opinions are my own.

Today, we have the honor of being part of Gracious Threads' Raindrop Tee blog hop and giveaway! Jess is the creative mind behind The Raindrop Tee, and plenty of other fabulous patterns you can check out here on her Etsy site, including the Lazy Days Lounge Pants that I really wish came in my size. Get on that, Jess! ;)

I got to test her latest pattern, which so happens to be a fabulous addition to my daughter's fall wardrobe in preparation for kindergarten which starts in 2 weeks - gah!

The Raindrop Tee is a slim-fit sop that features a trendy high-low hem, which you know I can't resist adding to EVERYTHING. High-low all the things. It also comes with the option for short or cropped sleeves, so it's a very versatile pattern for the changing seasons.

And plus, check out that cute little model on the cover! :)

I made two versions because I couldn't help myself. I made both shirts with 3/4 length sleeves because I was making them in preparation for fall, but do you think that stopped my daughter from wanting to wear them when it was 85 degrees outside? Nope.

For the first version, I used this yummy hummingbirds on ivy print from Girl Charlee, and I have to say it's probably my favorite print I've gotten from them to date. It's a nice, soft mid-weight knit with great stretch. And let's not forget the hummingbirds. I seriously need a shirt for myself with this fabric.

Because I couldn't stop at one, I made a second Raindrop Tee in a mustard and ivory stripe, again from Girl Charlee. I've been hanging onto this print for awhile, waiting on the perfect pattern to use it on. Worth the wait!

Both shirts are a size 6, which my daughter is just getting into. She's a tall, skinny thing, and this pattern runs a bit slim so go up a size if you're worried about fit.

These tops were such an easy, quick sew! I hadn't sewn in awhile and was looking for an easy pattern to help me get my sewing mojo back, so I printed out this pattern and ended up making both shirts in the same day because it was just that easy to sew up. Sewing mojo restored!
